Iran mega star rejoins music band

Iranian music band Darkoub is set to take a valuable addition on board as Iranian super star Hamed Behdad will have a reunion with the group.

A media report said Saturday the actor along with ‘Darkoub’ band is due to perform a concert at Milad Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks in Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The concert marks the 10th anniversary of the band formation with director of the group, Homayoun Nasiri, quoted by the media as saying that "Behdad is a talented singer who accompanied Darkoub since the initial years of the band."

Hamed Behdad made his film debut in 2000 with the lead role in 'End Game', a role that won him a nomination for a Best Actor Crystal Simorgh at the 19th Fajr International Film Festival. 

The actor subsequently appeared in several movies, mostly taking supporting roles, but his outstanding performances won him several awards and nominations at different film festivals.

He won critical and popular acclaim for the wartime flick 'The Third Day'. He was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role Crystal Simorgh at the 25th Fajr International Film Festival for his portrayal of an Iraqi officer in love with an Iranian girl during the Iran-Iraq war in this movie.

In 2010, Behdad finally won his first Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Masoud Kimiayi’s 'Crime'. 

Some of his other movies are 'Every Night Loneliness', 'Sa’adat Abad', 'The Orange Suit' and 'The Last Step'.
